How long did that take to come - not long if Rock Auto's usual service is anything to go by!

Oh, like 4 business days - maybe less. I chose the FedEx option, as you pay the Taxes at point of purchase which massively speeds up delivery. Rockauto may as well be based in Derby, as far as delivery time is concerned. Their shipping costs are also reasonable, unlike other Z parts firms.

They are very good but try and return a faulty item or get a refund.

I believe they're more than happy to accept returns, but shipping is at your cost, so generally not worth the effort.

The problem is that their process requires a faulty item to be returned to generate a refund so basically 'hard luck'.

I think they should charge international customers more but have a return insurance element. Their prices are good so could stand it.

It seems the customs are busy with euro imports you either wait a bit or don't get charged ATM from the US

when you use fedex from rockauto, you definitely get charged duty and tax, because its done at source, but I think that means also you don't get delays because customs can see there's no work for them to do. my rockauto parcels are no slower now than they were a year ago.
