£70k samuri on eBay

Lazy advert, lifted straight from the Silverstone auction catalogue a couple of years ago where he bought it.

The guy is a car collector called Keith Whybrow, mainly collects old fords, I met him at the NEC about 3 years ago and he bought a Focus RS from a colleague of mine. Nice bloke but not a Z man really,

Hi JK

Auction you referred to. Appears to still have the USA rear lens.

Cheers Steve,

I was going to look for that when I got a minute. I remember it selling for early forties... one of Duncan’s ‘generic’ restorations I recall. The fog lamps are straight out of a Demon Tweeks catalogue...!

Has the market really lifted that much in two years do you think? IIRC ZFM Motorsport had it for sale for a while and it had to go to auction?

The market will determine the price. I'd rather talk about the cars recently advertised and their provenance which in the Classic car world is surely important. That yellow 'rally' car has provenance.

No I don't think it has..!

Look at GED 220N which has been for sale for the best part of two years at http://www.greensidecars.com/ for mid forties and hasn't sold. 260 2+2 I realise and not a 240, but it still hasn't sold. And that is another similar Z Farm generic resto

Which is the yellow car you mention Rob, I must have missed that?
