Z32 TT's in the Z Club Challenge

hehe!! Well you new boys eh, I dunno!!

All the previous years has never been a problem with any of the rules (well, not big probs), If you want to use NOS then its in the Unlimited class for you!

So, shut it, use your NOS and compete in the Zclub drag challenge as happy competetors!

Simple!

Not really it isnt
Say I NOS my 240 with a 100 shot, bringing it to over 350HP and therefore capable of running mid to low 12's or so, under your new rule it would get lumped in with the Z32TTs how does that work....most Z32 TTs cant get anywhere near the low 13's let alone the low 12's so they would be at a disadvantage straight away.
This is exactly my point skiddell under the current rules I am lumped in with any 240's or 350's running nitrous as you say how does that work

I tell you what keep the class system the same make no changes at all BUT let nitrous be used my car is a Z32 N/A and thats the class it should be in if anyones worried that i might beat them then go fit yourself some nitrous and beat me chances are im just gonna blow up on the start line again anyways so whats the problem lol

Jesus Jimi! Whats the prob??

You have Naaaaaaaaaaaaaawzzzzz, that was upto you!! So, why should the rules be changed just for you???

What shot do you have?? (sorry if youve already said, but i CBA to trawl back through and look :p ) But im guessing its a 100 shot, so, that'll take your 220bhp car to about 300hp, so, lets look at the competition in Class 7??

Steve Sinclair in his 260z (VG30DETT engined + NOS)
and what???

Jaffa maybe ,depending on tyres
Pmac maybe ,depending on tyres
Me maybe, depending on tyres

Im gonna stop now, Just get there, support the club, dont blow your engine and tell everyone how great your day was on the forum when you get home!!

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!!

:p

I belive MG where going to release a car which had nitrous as a option before they went bust
Doesnt really count does it:conf2:

No I wasnt inferring that I wanted to run NOS, I dont need to nor do Iwant to ....yet as it will push me into super mod, I change my car to suit the rules NOT change the rules to suit my car

I was making the point that the proposed rule change wouldnt work

JimiJitsu as Chunk says the rules is the rules, thats not to say they cant be changed but they will not be changed to suit one person, only to correct an inbalance or change in the general trend of motoring

If you think that by fitting NAWZ that you will beat Pete then your sadly deluded, Pete wins because he turn up regular as clock work and runs good reaction times.........that is totally and absolutely down to the driver NOT the car...read the rules.
For example, lets say you were permited to use NOS in 32 NA class and on day one you turn up and run a 14.5 with a reaction of 0.500, Pete runs a 14.8 with a reaction of 0.250 Pete has a quicker reaction time.......Pete gets the lions share of the points depending on how many cars in the class, you can run quicker ET's all day long but at the end of the day if you dont get the reaction times to match you aint gonna win. So round 2 comes along and you dont turn up cos you had a skin full the night before....Pete gets the points so by round 2 your dead and buried.

I wasnt in Petes class...I run in a 240Z, I run mid to low 13's all day long and turned up to every event but Pete still beat me (hmmm by 4 lousy points), not because he can run faster...he cant and wont as long as he has a nose on his face cos he's got an lardy ass NA Z32 thats red with no stereo, its because he was more consistant on reaction time on average throughout the season.....get this an OAP like him running consistant 0.2xx, when average RWYBers run a 0.5 or 0.6 etc

I would learn the strip craft first, have some fun, enjoy the day and use the points system to your advanatge, but either way running gas will put you in Super mod just like all the others....end of debate.

Oh jesus im not out to piss everyone off and to try to clear this up one more time im not intrested in beating pete ffs i just think the whole nitrous moving you up a grade is stupid ill drop it ok oh and chunk its upto 150 now LOL BOOM:eek: sorry if people are thinking im out for a arguement im not just expressing my opinion thats all

its an open forum dude, you are quiet within your rights to question things......its good to see someone so keen.

jimi, most of us on this thread have met you personally and we dont think you are out for an argument. We dont get pissed of with members posting legitimate opinions.
Im sure I speak for all the current bunch of regulars when I say ... "We want you to attend and join us"
It would be good to have a few more regulars.
And in addition to the Zclub Challenge a few of us are looking to go further afield this year too.You (and whoever else) will be welcome to come.
Skiddell n me already know from our past trips that York offers the possibility of doing some "head to head" runs. Now that would be good. You n me.
One of the BEST days ever I had at da Pod was when MrF and me had a "best of three" head to head shoot out.
Its WAY too busy now there to do it but it is good fun.
You will all get a head start onme this year tho as A. I have no car built yet and B.I will be on holiday for round one.

Im up for racing when ever i like it its allways a good day out just didnt want people thinking im out to have a go thats all would love to do some head to head but like i said i will most likley blow up on the start line anyone got aa cover xD

anyone got aa cover

Your Z Club cover will always get you to the gate at Santa Pod so you can tell the AA that was where it broke. The exit gate tarmac must be the stickiest in the world - I've seen loads of cars with broken shafts and axles there! :D

Bear in mind that forum posts can easily sound like arguments when you don't know the people well - I'm only stating the Club stance, not bristling for a row. Love and peace...

Well Well now, my two pennyworth.

As the owner of what is probably the slowest Z to enter the challenge and its driven by a big fat geezer the whole CHALLENGE thing is.....

I had to use Skiddell AA cover last year and that got me home after breaking a drive shaft at the Pod and have also broken a diff there some years back !!!!!

Ah yes Dave,
I remember the good old days. Trying to make a solid bit of ground with broken flags to put the axle stands on. Having to change the diff where it stopped as it had seized solid and couldn't be moved!!!
Sparky.:D

Then the next day winning my class at Ultimate Fast Car
yes go old days

And getting a "Sniff My Diff" sticker off Mr F

It's looking like i might just have my car sorted in time, wheels go on next week, unorthodox pulley system and a few more mods.

Hoping i can book in with MickyB and have my plenum swapped, the hydraulic lifters replaced, new PCV valves and a quick tune up before the season starts.

Better start saving now! lol
