I see, the word 'straight' disturbs you. Ok, the diff was sold to me by the Count who sourced, bought and imported it from Japan.

It was the complete phrase that caused offence - not just one word. You wrote "straight from Japan" and you know what that implies. In short - it isn't true, is it?

And why are you now writing that I sold you a diff? I don't remember ever selling a diff to you. I believe it went through TWO pairs of hands between Japan and becoming yours ( and your supplier has never told me that he sold one to you anyway ) - hence the offence taken at the "straight from Japan" comment.

If you think I'm making this into a storm in a teacup you would do well to remember that a lot goes on behind the scenes that you and the other people reading this thread don't know about. There are people who are going to a lot of trouble to source information, data and parts for certain individuals and they are not getting any credit for it. I've had a basin full of it quite frankly.

If you don't want to get people's backs up, then either tell the truth about how and where things are sourced or just keep quiet.

I've decided to go with Quaife. I spoke to them today & my diff will be ready in two weeks.

Good choice ! Does that make you Mable or Mary now as you haven't ordered a 'man's' diff? (according to Sean)

Just installed mine today!!! Its not a 3.9 that’s for pussy’s, a real mans diff is a 4.6!!
Goes like , picks up the gears very nicely. Could not try it out completely, because I only had 1 litre of oil. A R200 needs 1.3…………

Of course I have the manly type but am seriously interested in the Quaife as an "everyday" diff. Would that make me Andy on track days and Andrea at the weekends ?

Absolutely my gender challenged friend, I think Roberta may want honorary membership too, I think the draw of the Quaife may be slowly pulling him, err her, in.
