F1 Competition 2010

Yes gramps.

Carrying on…….

Also I'm happy to discuss any issues concerning the competition before the first deadline - thereafter I will be Judge, Jury & Executioner of points

Meaning up until Wednesday midnight. So what if people have already predicted – they can alter them up until midnight Wednesday.

This is what I proposed back in January :

what I propose is that extra points might be won each race for he who correctly predicts the pole position driver - I dunno - 3 pts ?

A prize at the end of the season for he who predicts the most pole sitters with the closest getting the prize !

Little prize for he who predicts the winning team and driver too - obviously if there are several winners, you need to determine who will win out of them - I'm sure Rob can work out some devious selection system !

Nobody who commentated was negative !

Now, don’t say that you weren’t warned – I asked this question a month ago on the 7th Feb.

Rob - please can you list for us what we should be predicting now before a race and also before the complete season (ie years' winner and also team prediction too ?) - please.

Absolutely Sean.. Many can imitate but none can replace............... but in your case I'm sure we can make an exception
... and you'll need more than an ageing Datsun to keep up with a Jones!

I reckon that ol’ zedless forgot about our acceptance of at least a prediction on the pole-sitter but then……he’s having a hard time keeping up with this ageing Datsun now……..

Maybe the pole-sitter will be predictable but if so, it won’t harm the game – if not, it’ll add just a tadge more risk element into it and make qualifying more interesting as Mr Gaskin pointed out.

Perhaps a last little push a bit harder towards fellow forum members to get some more players, committee people ?

So ? What are we predicting please ?

OK peeps! :smash:
Since the Francofile has brought this up I suggest the following:
If everybody posts their prediction for a pole sitter and fastest lap BEFORE the Wednesday deadline I'll award 3 points for each correct prediction.
However, if EVERYONE does NOT post these extra predictions, I will ignore them for points and those who did post can have a little nul point fun amongst themselves

Hows that for an offer Sean?

You're all losers !

1) Hamilton

Sound like a Tory 'wet' ! Where's the "I'm gonna take over the world" speech ? Did you leave your balls in the glovebox ?

You know full well that apathy rules so if you say something is voluntary, it's dead !

Why not make it 1 extra point for each correct prediction which won't drastically change things now but will count later when we're all grasping for THAT extra point to stay ahead of Burnsie's WC think-time guesswork.......and I can tell you that he knows that small room very well !

If people want to win an extra point here and there, they'll participate, if they're cockey or can't be arsed, they don't bother but ultimately, those that follow a race closer will win more and the point of this competition is to make watching the race (and qualifying Rob) more interesting.

For me, this races' pole-sitter is Schumie - fastest lap - Webber !

How's that then ?

I know Sutil won't even finish the race because someone will clout into him like always but I think there's gonna be an awful lot of testosterone up the business end which'll lead to some of the less experienced crashing early. Should be good fun!

I'm looking forward to Lotus making their return, thats the only reason i've picked Heikki.
