Advice about Gt/Gts track racing

I don't follow, if it's not new or rebuilt - what is it ? ;-)

Spoke to Symon my dear Count and when we're ready, we'll call you for one !

I estimate that the right type of car will cost in the region of 50k pounds - anyone surprised ?

Secondhand & no, I for one am not suprised.

passed that figure and still going. but then if you want to be serious then you just ignore the cost and avoid talking about it. another good trick not known by many is to find a good woman who enjoys the same passion as yourself.

Here's a little clue to push things along a little bit. Who was it that wrote this to his mistress: "I shouldn't wish your life began the day we met"?:

When your car was run originaly by janspeed what was the configuration?

2.4L + rotomaster turbo and a single S.U 2 "? or more modified engine?

what are you know about this period when Janspeed run the dutch championships?

Thanks

Benoît
hi benoit I will send you the details of the car when it was running in holland by email. It was running in the group 5 so modification was unlimited as long as the sillouette stayed the same as the homolugated 240z. cheers ben

Mine was running in the group 5 european sports car championship(sometimes reffered to as group 4 ) in holland in 1974/5/6. I have the homologation papers for the car as it was run with all the mods approved. If you are not going to run stock then some of the info I have might be of use. cheers ben
Hy Ben,
I am studying the homologation for the group 4 and all the additions.
At your gallery, there are shown two different bodys of a janspeed car. Are this different cars? Or have you made some changes to the original car from 1974/5/6 to the present time? (For example the wings) Where the edged fenders used during FIA races of group 4 cars or have they only been used in the group 5?

Class Bourgoin's car alongside that 'Genuine Works Monte Carlo Rally Z' owned by those daft Italian Nissan dealers. Nothing of the sort.

Wow - the proof that frontiers don't stop this kind of damaging bullshit !

I would have thought that Nissan suits are probably the MOST likely to 'bend' the truth as it 'suits' them :) !

They have the official name badge pinned to their lapel and can say things like "ZGs were a body mod. I prefer the car as it left the factory"......hee, hee,hee do these guys know how they ressemble a pigs' arse when they speak ?

But, the damage is done when the word is printed (disclaimers do nothing) which is how we've finished up with the Geortz myth !

I even had someone ring me up last night, looking for a 240 2+2 - apparently some Nissan garage convinced him that the folowing models were sold in parallel :
240Z and the 240Z 2+2 until 1976 !

hi there. The cars in my gallery are the same car. The wings and arches that are on the car now were built and fitted for the 1976 group 5 season and had the addition of the huge rear wing sat up on the tailgate. The car as I run it now is pretty much the same apart from the re-worked front air dam which now incorperates a splitter and the class that I run in will not allow me to run the big wing so I have fitted a spoiler to the rear of the car with a diffuser underneath. I think that the rear wing was not as effective Janspeed thought it would be but that was the technology back then. Having driven with both the wing and the aero mods that are on now, the wing produces a fair amount of drag for little gain in handling compared to the modern day tech. BUT in my biased and rosetinted glasses opinion the wing looks soooooooooooo much better

For those of you who haven't seen Mr Bourgoins' ('claimed') silver Le Mans car - here it is at a nearby circuit !

Two reasons - everything was packed up (photos in boxes) for house rennovations/decoration and then I had to replace the scanner.
Poor excuses but all I have !

Here's one for you know who - talk about swapping numbers - look at the number plate (s) !
