Anyone know who is selling a white 240Z that is on car and classic.co.uk ? Is it someone on here?

I really wish people wouldn't adopt all this American "Series 1" and "Series 2" nonsense.

First of all it's not a factory thing (Nissan never used such terms to describe them as there were tens of rolling updates all through production) and secondly it especially doesn't apply to original UK market cars.

If you want to identify the car properly, use the specific model code (S30, S30-S, PS30, PS30-SB, HS30, HS30-S, HS30-H, HS30-U, HLS30, HLS30-U etc etc) combined with the production date, and all else will follow....

With respect to Rahail240's car it does indeed look fantastic and if Alan speaks highly of it there can be no better recommendation.

So well done Rahail on building such a superb car.

This statement can't be accurate though surely:

Built to complete factory specification .........,which looks like it's just rolled out of the dealership showroom in 1973.

I'm thinking (and I may be wrong here so please correct me) :

No front spoiler
White rear spoiler
Red air-filter box
Non-Euro front indicators
Black/white number plates
No number-plate lights in rear bumper

I know these are trivial things and that worldwide markets were different. I also realise that the items listed add to the cars appearance. Rahail was maybe referring to condition mainly and the lack of any non-Datsun mods.

A lovely car and I expect it to command a high price.l

If you want to be picky, and combine factory specs for the USA and UK market, there will be a multitude of differences and more than can be seen in the photos.:)

It's stated "one of the leading marque specialists in Europe" not "the".

Yes I know Sean that's why I was just referring to what someone would see as it 'rolled out of the showroom'.

I'm not being picky with the car just part of the description. I know we are picky on here (you too) but the detail is the interesting bit.

And we don't know anywhere near all the detail from the ad and 95% of buyers looking at the car won't know many differences between market models - they'll just see a lovely 240Z that doesn't look modded.

I should have said 'someone' and 'one' as 'YOU' (meaning the plural as in 'vous' over here) is taken too personally:cool:.

I might let Rahil  answer that question Atomman : watch this space.

I met Rahail a couple of years ago when I sold him a mint RHD dash. He was also after an original radio for the car so you know he went to all the little details too. I would expect this to be a top class car. A very nice chap and he was really in to doing that car right.
