My latest Fad lol Got me a cheapy V8 engine from a burnt out 1987/88 Firebird Know nothing about yank V8 engines but what I gather its a 5.7ltr crate motor ? Started to pull it apart but its deffo been sat a while with water in the bores Engine doesn't look that old but getting it to turn over...

Anyone recommend any uk firms that restore car fuel tanks 1st hand experience ? Good bad ? Needs a Nissan Silvia S12 tank looking at (Unless you happen to have one spare lol) Looks solid outside but being sat 12yr the insides are orrid n rusty :ack::ack:

Looking to try a slightly diffo steering setup As far as I can find 240, 260, 280z all use the same taper for the steering arm for the track rod end to locate ? Has anyone tried or know if a Nissan 200sx S13, S14 etc track rod end has the same taper to locate into a Z steering arm?

Is anyone using an old shipping container to store their Z car or parts/ trim ? How do you go about damp/ winter months to stop condensation/ rot setting in ? Is there a good way to insulate them without using up room, or esp when mains power isn't available ? Have just purchased a 40ft...

Been looking at KMAC Datsun 240Z/260Z/280Z Front or Rear Camber Caster Stage 3 top mounts Do they replace the o/e rubber top mount entirely ? ie bolt in place on top of the strut ? Anyone got a pic of them, or the underside to show fitting ? ta :thumbs:

S30 rear suspension pin cotter pins, are they a unique size to a Z car, or can they be had from a well known local bicycle shop ? Not tried others yet, just curious :confused:

Just a few questions re the 6 speed manual gearboxes How do you know what year they are from - early to late? Are the box cases marked or coded so? Is the 350z box physically different to 370z box, as in fit differently ? Anyone got any pics of a 6 speed manual gear box as removed from a car ...

Interested to know if anyone managed to fit a wheel speed sensor to their Z and if so how. Sounds simple but interested to see how peeps have made them fit and with what ? As part of launch control I guess would use a abs sensor or crank sensor to pick up from the front brake disc securing bolts ?
