Pipe Bender, Roller ?

Anyone had any experience with diy pipe bending?
Just a thought atm but may be looking to make/form my own exhaust/cooler pipes
Would like to be able to bend aluminium tube up to 76mm to make intercooler pipe
As well as exhaust tube again up to 76mm
For what its worth I spotted this on ebay but wouldn't know if it would do the job or not ?

Don't waste your money as it will crush the pipe.you need a mandrel bender.

I took it the trick was to fill with damp sand 1st to stop that ?

It is but you need to stop it from coming out to help keep the shape
