As many of you are aware our relationship with 300zx-club.com has been a very rocky one over the last year. Despite our efforts to support and fund this sister site for 300zx owners the domain owners behavior made it increasingly difficult to maintain membership and site functionality. As a former chairman of the 300zx-club I can assure you this was not due to lack of effort. The Zclub committee was forced to sever our support for the site after the latest debacle, with the site being down for a week without any response by the owner (the only person with access). Efforts were made to buy the domain to enable complete Zclub control but the owner refused. After making the decision to remove support we were approched by a group of current 300zx-club members who wanted to save the site by migrating the content to a new domain name zxclub.net. They believed by taking the current owner out of the equation they could attract previous members back to the forum and build it back up to the fun and active site it was during it's first year of creation. The Zclub committee agreed that this was in best interest of the Z community and allowed them to migrate the content we created and paid for, although we would not fund them or have any official links. We wish this group of dedicated 300zx owners all the best and look forward to seeing them at future Zclub events. This does not remove our goal to be "One club, all the cars" but until we acheive our goal to make Zclub a viable active forum for 300,350, and 370 owners active partnerships with all Z related clubs will ensure a busy social scene. Personally what pleases me the most is that the Zclub committee can get back to focusing on our top priority, the Zclub.
As one of our more active members says, it's "A new Z era", and as I say "lets have fun"!
