I think those wheels, arches and ground clearance look just fine to me, fed up with seeing things getting lower all the time
I'd guess it's rainwater coming out of a floor rail.
Brake and fuel lines are well out of the way in the tunnel and no coolant lines anywhere near there.
Agreed, just need more rubber to close the gap.
Have you got a close up of the 205's on a 8j wheel?
I'm trying to work out if I should go for 195/60/14 or 205/60/14.
I can't put a bigger tyre on the front Franky, I bought a full set of 225/50/16's and the o/s front caught on a valance on lock, so had to buy another pair, only this time 205/50/16's, no catchy buyt no likely too, needs a small drop
Depends on tyre you get,I have got identical tyres as I've had and mine just touches in offside, think it's how they are cut, just like a pair of Levi's,the cut differs depending wot country you get them from,I'm running 225-50-16,
My point was - why is it the offside that catches and not the nearside?
I have fitted smaller tyres:

I haven't followed this topic, so not sure which bit touches... but surely you would expect the drivers side to touch before the passenger side - there's a driver sat on that side compressing the springs!
