Hey Riddler don't worry about the sarcastic posts on here, most of us have taken a kicking for various reasons. Whether you are cheesed of still I'm not sure but your thread has evolved into a interesting AND important thread on how to ensure the longevity of the L series motor, so that's all good
I have questioned my father in law who knows about such matters and specifically the product mentioned by you.
His comments................
Hi Craig, these kind of products are solid state fine particles of metals or metallic compounds which can adhere physically to rough surfaces. They can exhibit solid state lubricant properties with surfaces that are in intimate contact. However in systems which require hydrodynamic lubrication they cannot work, eg bearings. These products are really to bung things up which can temporarily improve matters but cannot return mechanical systems back to the design function. To my mind they are unlikely to be a cost effective solution in the long run unless you want to get rid of vehicle immediately. Glyn
I have posed the question to him over engine oil choice for the L series and am waiting for an answer....................
I hope this gives you a brief oversight into these types of products and there uses/pitfalls.
Thank you for your informed argument, based on which I see little point in continuing this debate.
This forum has turned to into a sorry state. I'm becoming ashamed to be part of it. This guy has posted his honest opinion on a product and has been set upon by the wolves. I fear the posts will dry by people for fear of being treated the same.
I won't be starting threads anymore after the outcome of my last one and will look for a forum with more grow up members.
You're mentioning Alexander Fleming and Ametech(correct spelling, not that we don't all make mistakes) in the same post,as if they are on the same footing, i find that highly disrespectful and defamatory to Fleming's legacy. On another footing(soapbox?)Not only are these capitalist marketeer's of **** ripping people off and hiding behind legal jargon we're letting them divide us.........and this is progress?.I want a tongue in cheek smiley. And while most would instantly mistrust any product such as this, maybe, just maybe, Amtech have come up with something - I don't know.
I am sure Alexander Fleming had plenty of people scoffing at his suggestion that mould could cure infections in the human body. That mould became known as penicillin.
Well guys, nail in the coffin for me I am afraid, this is a public forum and as such there are swings and roundabouts, post unresearched posts and you gets what you gets, particularly when people can't even be bothered to use the search button and rely on the good nature of the regulars to wipe their *****
Moderators please delete my account.
So long chaps, good luck and all that.

Good grief you're late!,i half expected you'd have asked for skidden's opinion on slick50 before now.Just shows that it doesn't need me on here to stir it.........
And with that, I hope we can close a thread I am wishing I had never started!
Where's the harm in that?
