Hi,

Anyone watch the Classic Car Show tonight?

Quentin Willson recommended the Datsun 240Z as a good classic to buy now, and also a

good investment, as prices are rising for good examples and should keep rising!

He suggested buying a US dry state car as a preference.

I just turned over a caught that bit,

didn't he say 10k will get you a good one and in a few years they will hit 50k ?

10K for a good one? Dear boy needs to catch up a bit.

50K in a few years? Cripes if that comes to pass. Nice for sellers/owners - not so much if you are a buyer. It'll shift the demographics of ownership, that's for sure.

Hi,

No, he said that £10K used to buy you a good one, but that you would need £30K now and perhaps £50K in a few year time for a top car!

Cheerz,

'Classic Car Buyer' this week compares the MGC with the Datsun and they finish by saying that the days of a good Datsun for £15000 are numbered.

With our current UK deflation situation who knows?

Just pump up the tyres! ;) sorry poor joke.

You'd be surprised how little UK deflation will affect the classic car market. If it persists it will of course affect FMCGs such as electronics goods and new items but classics tend to work on a different economic model.
