Perhaps the topic title should have been " The 280Z- Do you know what it is?"
What I really want to know is have any of you lot got a nice pic of a 77/78 spec 280Z? If you have then I think there is this bloke in France who wants to see a nice pic. Give him some idea of how good the louvred bonnet looks (or not). Depends on your pointof view I suppose.
So look smart and put your brains in gear on this one

PS I will Nuke the first person who sends a pic of a 280ZX bonnet. So dont do it.

There is a photo of a 280Z in the 280ZX section of the Gallery
If you go to the gallery and enter the 280ZX Album and click on dcp0007 or dcp0008 a larger photo of the 280Z will appear

I've seen the bonnet and it could work ON A MODIFIED CAR but the car in the pictures is hardly a reference - where didthe wheels come from ? Bugatti ? And that colour scheme and the hairstyle and...

A picture of a 280Z in the 280ZX gallery? Words fail me.

hi guys &nbsp;if you want a seperate gallery for the z31, 300z , z32 etc then the photo's have got to come in with a clear description as to what. I can also start galleries for red 240z's green 240z's yellow z32's etc. the list and split of the galleries is endless.I could also have a gallery for photo's without descriptions, &nbsp;or we could have a gallery for each of the models of Z's that have got 3.5mm of tread on the front tyres and 4.7mm of tread on the left rear and 5.6 on the right rear and then introduce sub galleries for different tread depths and combinations. maybe the other way to do it is for the club members to actually use their brains and think that just maybe there will be other people viewing the galleries that are not club members and dont want to sift through hundreds of galleries each holding one or two pictures of the same colour and model car. in the meantime just keep posting the photo's and we will try to make the best of them that we can. I hear there is a job available for someone to fire the gun after the bullets have been loaded if anyone is interested <img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=''> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

Hi Pmac
The trouble of trying to change things quickly is sometimes they come back and try and bite you
aktion074.gif
How about coming on board and taking over something like the FAQ section?
If you don't ask there is no chance of being refused. <img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>  <img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>  <img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>

Hi Ben, What a great idea! Galleries of Galleries! &nbsp; You dont seem to have mentioned anything about a gallery for blue 240Zs with blue interiors. I hope you are going to have one cos if you dont then I might get the idea that you are trying to exclude me from the Galleries!
Listen up Fatboy! I cant even FIND the FAQ section so there aint much hope for me running it ,is there?
Besides there are no pictures of FAQs to cross reference to the Galleries of Galleries section. So whats the point?
And if I did do summat sensible then there would be no loose cannon on the board would there? <img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':0'>

Hi,
Just call the gallery "300ZX" rather than "300ZX(Z32)" and the problem's solved.Having said that, people can hardly confuse the two cars as the body styles are completely different, unlike some of the earlier Zeds.
Perhaps there could be a 200SX/100NX gallery too?<img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>

Ben,
Do you really need members to list what model their car is in order to classify it ? I'm shocked !

However their is nothing worse than having to skim through hundreds of photos without some form of filtration - my old steam-powered PC has coronarys !

hi sean &nbsp;the idea of members giving details of their cars with the photo's is for the benefit of non club members who might be browsing the sight and havent got the benefit of being able to identify the different models( simple idea i know but it might help) there are also some club members that are not too familiar with the different newer models.
Just for pmac to make him feel part of the club i will start a gallery just for blue 240z's with blue interiors that are owned by people called pmac, if that doesnt narrow it down enough to get a decent pic of his car then i will have to put the milage down as a criteria as well <img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>
the cannon is now reloaded and ready to fire <img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'> &nbsp; &nbsp;cheers &nbsp;ben

I've never seen Petes' car, a bit like Fred over here who told me tales of his 'phantom' wheels - until he towed it over to my place and we started taking it apart. Maybe Pete would offer the same for his nail ?

After my humiliating experience of featuring on the Pulling Power TV shoot we did a couple of years ago I decided to keep a low photographic profile personally. Since the bloody car is nearly as old and worn as me I decided that it too should keep a low profile. Hence not many photos of us around.
Old Datsuns(and their owners) just get older!!!

What car (inc colour) were you in pmac for pulling power? I may have downloaded a vid of you off the net (by accident, if only I'd known).

Cheers

so pmac does that mean that the blue gallery will stay empty. or can some one else provide a pic of the ageing blue owner and his 240z <img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'> &nbsp;<img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

James Allen (the Pulling Power presenter-now of ITV Grand Prix fame) drove my LHD metallic blue 240Z on the Pulling Power Feature. So the interior shots of James talking about 240zeds as he drove were filmed in my car. My 2minute "claim to fame"!!!! &nbsp;Wow!!!
The whole collection of Zeds that took part with their owners were assembled by me with the kind cooperation of Mike Burch from Carlton Television. It all happened as a result of his interest in Zeds when he came to Billing about 2 years before the program was made. Most of the cars were from Heart of England Group and then the gaps in the line up wre filled by invitation.
One of the best Dayz out we ever had.

Hi,
Returning to the original question, have any of you seen this site called Quicksilver ?
Apart from the louvres(weren't they fashionable once? <img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'>) and decals it looks like a nice car. You'd need to remove the US bumpers too!
