Folks, Dale has suggested I run a 'Motors' heads-up - I'll give it some thought.

Once a day I look at 'Motors' to see what's coming up (my Dad does too and he's 89!).

Targa NZ is a good watch. Modern and Historic cars on closed tarmac roads in NZ. Lots of GTRs and I've also seen a red V8 S30!

It's quite entertaining and those GTRs are lovely.

Next showing is about 3.40 tomorrow morning.

Oh to be retired.......... :)

Rob, I don't watch TV in the day I watch recorded stuff at night when my wife has gone to bed. :smash: Your time will come!

To be honest I spend too long on this PC.

Actually my daughter is in NZ at the moment and I'm working on her car whilst she's away. So my current home improvements are on standby. Also need to get my 240 ready for Spa (hardly touched it since lasy Sept).

I don't know how I found time to go to work for about 10 hrs a day!

highly recommend the targa NZ rally. Stunning cars and scenery
In fact Motors tv is worth watching for its range of motorsport
Saw some the other night involving a motorcross bike towing a skier round a circuit. The idea of the skier was to prevent the back end of the bike sliding out in the corners.

The S30 is a 240 with a Supercharged V8 (800bhp) ! Near the end of the film it gives a good clip of it coming towards the camera with the 'charger screaming. Belongs to Ian Lewis.

But those GTRs are even better IMO.

His car is ballistic in real life. It's funny doing a club rally with him, and all you hear come up beside you is the SC wailing, completely drowns out the sound of your own Z.

Our guys usually do very well in their class. :D

Always lots of great cars doing Targa, some of the R35's are crazy! 3 Events a year, so always something interesting happening, some a few you wish you hadn't seen. [hands over eyes] :(

Rob, do you know how old the coverage is?? There was a Targa event here two weekends ago.
