So, went to the car show at Ugbrooke House yesterday. It was a cracking day & got completely fried by the sun. It was quite a relaxed sort of day with varying types of car on show.
There were 3 Zeds there in total, a green '73 240Z, mine and a 350Z. had some good discussions and several other Zed owners who hadn't brought their cars with them came over to chat. One of those, who was from London on holiday in Devon said he had bought JohnyMD's orange LHD 240Z but didn't know where to get parts. Another chap said that he had an early 70's 240Z rotting in his back garden covered in brambles but having seen the 2 S30s there, was galvanised into doing something with it. From his description, it may be past it.
None were ZClub members and didn't know about the forum although the guy with the green car was a member of the Classic Z register. All were struggling for parts.
Another guy from Plymouth came over and said that he was in the middle of getting his 280ZX restored but couldn't get hold of wings and other parts. Quite a lot of plugging for the ZClub and MJP went on so there may be some new contacts for both shortly.
Anyway, I have attached some pics of the event.
