I'm sure this must have been covered before, but at the expense of originality I want to fit inertia reel seat belts in my 240Z as i'm fed up with having to adjust the static ones every time I wear a different coat, jacket etc. What type do other members recommend and where is the best place to mount the reel, top of the rear suspension turret seems easiest?

That is where the late 260 2 seater seat belt reel was mounted, mine has them fitted there.
Also fitted to other 78-79 cars I have seen in years gone by!

My car had inertia reels fitted on the strut turrets.

I think I might still have the home-made plates they were mounted on. If you are interested I'll have a look.

Mine are fitted on the strut turrets but down low, almost facing the rear of the seats. I also have 4pt harnesses so I can keep everyone happy !
