If you confirm that the adjusters are wound back fully, check that the cylinder pistons are not sticking (corrosion) in the out position.

Sorry checked cylinders, one was leaking so decided to change both. Have new cylinders, adjusters wound back and sanded lip off drums. Still can't get drum over shoes.
Pistons and shoes bought from MJP.
Do we need sand the shoes a bit?
Any help would be appreciated. Thought this would be an easy DIY job but now looks like I'll have to get car picked up and taken to my mates garage.

Thanks Nick

No should be easy - wind asjuster in and centre and it fits over easily. Do you have photos?

Give the shoes a bit of a sanding - this batch are occasionally a bit tight when everything else is good.
Sorry...
