Rough costs on LHD to RHD conversion...

I still have the right hand drive heater unit and matrix I think from my old 240Z (rest in piece).

What do they fetch? Might sell it...

Stick them on eBay and see where the bids go!

FYI, I probably paid around 70 quid for the pair when assembling my future RHD kit. Might be worth more in open bidding.

Thanks Richie,

Undecided whether to keep them 'just in case' I ever get a car to convert, certainly wouldn't butcher my current one.

On another thread, when someone said they were thinking of doing the swap to their LHD car, I asked if the costs to do it might not mean you'd be better off buying a RHD one in the first place ... I think from the parts needed and the labour costs (if you can't do it yourself) would run to a pretty penny ...

Having driven LHD cars many times and owned a few over the years, I can't see what the problem is really, unless you MUST have a RHD car for some reason - exclusivity, just want a UK car etc.

And buying a fecked RHD donor car - christ - even the rubbish ones (if you can find one) go for ££££££ now ... I'd buy a driver RHD car and improve it before I'd attempt this job.

Getting back to the question. I recon £500-£800 in bits and a few days work. Probably only really practical if your rebuilding/restoring a car from the shell up though.
