Rob, you can run on the Sunday in "non retro" class (Outlaw class Y) you just won't be eligable to win any of the retro class prizes (up to and including 1989) as there is no trophy for class Y

If anyone is planning to go on the Saturday then please let me know so they can be adjudicated

Darren are you going to do Saturday as your not able to do Sunday?


Looking at the weather Saturday looks a bit cooler same wind no rain forcast

You boys are in charge of him in my absence..........Look after him, he's shy and don't go sending him up the strip cos he's supposed to be running the old girl in.:unsure::D
 
I would sooner do the Saturday as long as the times will be adjudicated. I would be happy for Paul’s “mechanic” to officiate if this is acceptable.

Can Saturday runners be accommodated?

My old reused head gaskets are still holding OK so want to gradually turn up my boost back up to the point where I did my PB time. Saturday has to be best to get more runs and my wife is able to come with me in her car as insurance against problems.

IF your still OK for Saturday and we are authorized to record times see you there.

Skiddell / MrF is this OK with everyone?

I will try and get over on the Saturday to verify the times
The greatest discrepancy comes with what we call "footed" times.
Footed times are when the marshal gets a little impatient (usually with a noobie racer who can't stage), so rather than waste time (queue getting longer) he puts his foot over the stage light and presses his button, when the car moves he moves his foot so releasing the timer electronics.

You can usually see this on the timeslip as an impossibly quick reaction time, followed by a quicker than normal ET and 60ft.

For entry into the hall of fame all records need to be witnessed by another club member

The time must also be consistent with previous attempts – this is to defend against “footed” starts, false starts and timing gear error. We will need to see the actual car at some point for it to be scrutinised by a member of the Z Club committee.
