I thought this car was near the best 240 in the country the first time you built it Dave, but the attention to detail this time is incredible . Then again you only slapped it together in a few months last time :D.

Dave

Where does the loom run through the bulkhead ?

240z loom sits in the original position and i have not drill the hole for the RB engine loom as wanted to wait untill the engine was installed first.

Been on the phone this morning booking in the car to have a stainless exhaust system made and fitted in July.

Bit of paint just to tidy up the rad support so i can start fitting the bits back onto the car.

Front bumper back on and bought some new door frame rubbers as the doors did not like the original set and would not close properly.

Test fitted the new inlet manifold with a single throttlebody and it fits !!!!!!!

Just have to make up my mind to have it polished or painted matt black as the exhaust mainifold is heat coated black on the other side of the block.

Looks pretty good as it is Dave.
Very tight on the inner wing, have you got enough room to squeeze on a pipe or is that not the final engine position?

Engine is in its final position i just slid the inlet manifold onto the head to see if it would fit !!, it will bolt up to the head another 10mm and move away from the inner wing if is still tight fitting the intercooler pipe work could i aways have some of the inlet face machined away.

Absolutely get it polished Dave (I would say that though given my car!). I reckon you'd regret having it finished in black and would end up having it stripped and polished anyway, so pay Len a visit with it! Especially as those particular manifolds look great polished anyway given their nice sleek shape.

Still thinking its 50/50 at the moment are you back in the UK ? as could do with Richard "The Polisher" Parker paying the car a visit :).

Unboxed the new intercooler that i bought when i first started the RB conversion and gave it a good flushing with warter (do not want any small bits going inside the new engine) and made sure that it was bone dry inside by nicking the wifes old hairdryer.

Also had the alloy mounting bracket modded by having 2 inserts welded in just to give it some more strength as the intercooler not light.
