Race prepped short engine on eBay

i had an engine built.not a peice of shit that has just been lying around for god knows how long, anyone heard it run or knows wot it goes like,no i doubt it

You twat - how long do you think your block and head were lying around before they got sorted ? Fell off the tree with the last apples ?

They could have been lying around for donkeys but like you just said.before they got sorted big difference between second hand, recon and new,Sean Baby i think you should leave it there as you said your last thread got a bit out of hand,PS still got yer rad and if you want a spare set of 260 rear lights i have 4 sets,mr p is having a set cos he is a very nice chap and if anyone else wants a set then all you have to do is come round and get them,or as soppy nuts said they r going down the dump,im gouing down the pub ,bye

new does exist if you know the right people, obviously you dont i know of 2 new blocks just doing nothing

and a gearbox and lots of other goodies all new never been seem by you fellow Zedders out there,as for that engine is it of no interest to yourself as you seem to know a bit about it, wot with your Heads i would think that it would be ideal for your 2+2 project

..........not a peice of shit that has just been lying around for god knows how long, anyone heard it run or knows wot it goes like,no i doubt it

just like these 'new' engines right ? As for gearboxes, cheaper and better to use a Silvia/200SX unit !

Methinks you've got the strop on Paul - chill out man - it's only metal and hot air.

The 260Z roject is simply to put a nice car back togther again for the road and sell it.....to help fund the real dream project and 'that' engine won't be enough ;) !

2 blocks doing nothing ,with a block which me thinks is new for mk1 rs escort 1600,as for getting the strop on couldnt really give a shit anymore, good luck with the estate though

Yes new does still exist.
I have a NOS E88 bare cylinder head inc cam towers.
Offers please, I need some space!

Mark.

Also mk1 lotus cortina bits.now that is like a free for all in the bank of england, you would expact to pay £500 upwards just for a knackerd block with no inners,i think that puts that other block into perspective, its just another block on the market which comes up for sale from time to time, and theres more

RS1600 twin cam are the parts to find a box of old engine parts will go for thousands.. anyway back to the Zeds...

strange that anyone would actually want a new block! when f2 was in vogue all engines were stock based.the works bmw engines were built using blocks that came back from dealers under warranty. blocks that have had several thousand heat cycles are de-stressed, or seasoned, much better to machine a used block to your requirements.
on the subject of the short engine for sale nowhere near enough detail to make it interesting i.e.is it forged pistons? what is a comp oil pump? a turbo pump with a spacer behind the spring to give increased pressure perhaps? arp rod bolts but what mains studs etc?

I built my turbo engine from my old L28 which I blew up with the NOS fitted, I bought 3 F54 block and my one was still the best when I checked them all out, still have the other 2 bare blocks in the garage.

So, not scrapped then - that's a relief ! Someone (who's building themselves a Jap. spec. Z) believes that they have a bargain !

not to judge the product by the manner of the seller (and if you ask the right person.........)

Sean, this the WHOLE point of Fleabay..the seller puts up a description..if the description is bad or has put up bad photos it does not help to sell ANY item. If you feel the need to ask a qestion, it is to the seller. Not the maker. I would not ask Tefal about a secondhand set of pans I saw on Ebay, asking them for description or better photos...the same goes for this short block..any purchaser has just this add to go by. If Skiddell can't judge what this engine is about from the ad, how can anyone else? I don't know what block it is let alone what bore stroke it is from the ad.
