Piston Damage

Hi all, I have a set of replacement L24 pistons/con-rod assemblies but noticed that one of them has got several indentation/impact marks restricted to a small area between piston top and between the ring grooves - see photo. No idea how this happened - probably was there when I bought them some time ago. I'm no engine expert, so looking for advice as to whether it is still useable on the basis that the rings do the sealing - or is it scrap? Many thanks in advance.

As long as you rub the burrs off properly and make sure the grooves are still parallel they'll run fine.

Thanks Jon - I'll leave it to the professionals to remove any burrs. Yes Rob, they are a set of Nissan 0.5mm over bore pistons and con-rods. Bought them along time ago now - I'm having a clearout at the moment and may let them go so wanted to make sure they can be sold as a complete set.
