One of my favorite cars going, they create some amazing pieces of kit!

I've seen a couple in the flesh and the attention to detail is truly incredible and whilst the price tag is well beyond my means with cars easily speced to 250k they look quite reasonable to a Singer Reimagined 911.

All that being said I can't think of a better all round weekend toy and Europe road trip car....

The shell, from inception to completion is prepared at a good friends operations in South Wales. The painted final product is then sent to Alfaholics for running gear, drivetrain, interior assembly etc.

Suitably modified 510 would deliver same driving experience and £150k change in the pocket :)

i looked at a GTAm replica a few months ago before i bought the 240z, it had been wide-bodied and all bodywork done. Mechanically it was standard, yes it could have been made faster but, as jonbills has uttered, i missed the noise of a six banger.

I have never seen anything cheap at alfaholics, but they do build a lovely car.

So begs the question, what would a same cost 240z be?

That is their competition.... so very reasonable then.

510 sounds like a nice idea

I don't know if in the UK we're geared up to deal with the idea of costs related to create such a car.

I can't see how they charge 250k for it though?

You are right Franky. In the UK we really struggle with what we understand of the cost of true race car style builds. How many people in the UK Z scene would consider spending 10...20...30...40K on an engine, let alone all the other details that go into a build like this. It is a problem across the board, whether it is cars or motorbikes. There are too many 'that'll do's' in the UK when it comes to custom stuff. The cost of designing, tooling up and producing your own race quality parts for a build like this is astronomical.....even if you can do a lot of it in house. It still amazes me that you can see MK1 escort builds regularly breach the £100,000 mark in the UK but people would fall off their chair at a 240Z costing that, but done right it could easily exceed that. People need to look more towards Japan to truly see how far Z's can be developed.

Cheers
Tom
