Hi, I'm Jim Hepburn.

I bought a 1973 240Z this week. It's in Red with black trim and in pretty good condition, I reckon.

I only have one pic so far (the car packed in on the way home and finished its journey on an AA Relay truck!) so it hasn't been out the garage since. Great start.

Apparently it's an alternator problem so hopefully an easy fix.

More pics soon, I hope.

Jim

Welcome.
Looks lovely. That front suspension is screaming "lower me" :)

Never good when the first journey ends like that. Most mechanical things are easy to fix on these cars. Its the rust you have to watch out for. Welcome to the club and happy Zeding.

I'm with Jon on this. 3in drop on the front and 2 on the back will put it just where it needs to be. IMO

I can't think of a single car that doesn't look better with lowered suspension and wheels that better fill the arches. It's not just me, every car manufacturer and the majority of buyers agree. That's why they produce sporty models of production cars with tweaked suspention and bigger s wheels.

I agree completely however they are then not 'period cars'.

Your car John looks amazing and performs amazingly and is a credit to you. Is it now a 240Z?

Anyway I don't want to hijack this Thread, Jim has bought a lovely car and he's joined THE Club to enhance his ownership.
