I remember seeing this on ebay and I thought it looked like it would be a good car.

Welcome to the club and to Z ownership, that's a very nice example, and as others have already said, it looks great wearing that colour :D

Being in Sweden im sure you already know this, but get some wax in those sills and frame rails ASAP ;)

Thanks a lot. I really like the color! I think it suits the car well.

It can't be more wet here then in the UK ;)

But sure, I'll go over the sills and rails!

Exhaust is being discussed with Sean right now...

I have total car envy!!! That is a lovely condition. As others say from what you show it looks pretty solid. Looks very straight and honest and I love the stickers on the rad panel top part!!!

Thank you very much for you comments.

It's amazing the stickers are left after 42 years! There are tons of details like that all over the car. I pulled out the speedo to change the dial. I managed to get a Canadian speedo with the same font in km/h so I swapped the dials. The whole speedo assembly looked brand new.

Looks like a great buy. Your intended direction is to my liking too. Have you had a dig around under the battery tray? Looks like the tray itself has rust holes in it so I'd be surprised if the metalwork below it has had some attention. Rest of the car looks good.

Thanks Johnny.

I did poke beneath the tray and it looks solid. The only place that looks a little affected is where the metal meets the firewall. I was surprised about that.

I think maybe that area underneath has been protected well, but not the tray shelf itself. So a battery that was leaking a little, or rain could get trapped underneath the battery but not get through the panel beneath. It's speculation of course, but I can't see any trace of panel repair in the area.

Maybe there is a lot of Bondo underneath :)

Overall I'm happy with the condition. The previous owner changed a lot of things like the suspension bushings . There are one or two left that needs to be done still, but in general there isn't any play anywhere. There is a creak in the rear end though. I ordered a full set of poly bushings and I will replace them then I change to coilovers .

In other news I've ordered a full exhaust system from Sean
