New Light, note the reflector now directs the light and the glass is clear, opposite way round on the old lights

New Light switched on (sidelight only) LED, slightly different angle so you can see the reflection of the blue coating on the main H4 bulb

Main/Dipped beam switched on, noticeably brighter, and this is with the same H4 bulb that was already in the old headlights!

I think to be fair the old wiring on my car, wasnt too bad, as some of it was replaced when the car was restored,
i think the new lights with the conventional reflector make all the difference regards brightness

hey toopy ive finally got around to changing my lights however i just cant get them to fit in the tubs correctly.
it seems the added depth is preventing my headlights screwing back into place.
ive got a feeling the tubs might be to blame but did you have any similer issues?

i managed to get the drivers headlamp in fairly easily so i think there definitely something wrong with the passenger bucket.
will have to investigate but i think i may have to roll the internal edges slightly to get the lamp to fit correctly.
its never easy it it lol

Have a look at where the sidelight wire exits, if its the same as mine you need to trim the sealant to get it to sit flush in the location notches.

Hi, I didnt have any trouble with mine, only that they appeared to be ever so slightly larger, which meant one side, cant remember which, needed a tad more persuading to push past the rim of the bucket :)

I managed to roll a rubber handle screwdriver around the bucket to roll the edges slightly and now it's popped in.
Like you say the drivers side went straight in but the passenger side was the one putting up a fight.
It looks really smart now and really like the halos.
Thanks for the advice

I've had a set of halo headlights for my Z in my garage for about eight years now... yours look really good - I must fit mine!
