This was more National events poll, Matching Green and Bromley have tended to be more local group meetings, I have asked for other suggestions and will set up another poll at a later date

Shouldnt we have a family day?
The overwhelming majority of Z Club events ARE family orientated.
Most local group social events /days out are this way. As is Billing, JAE and the various regional classic car shows that members attend in their own areas Bromley pageant is the perfect example.
When I ran Heart of England Group virtually everything we did was family orientated cos I had youngish kids then and also other group members like JEZ 300 started producing too!!!
Im not against family activities at all and Nick N Michelle with their Local groupmeets are a good example of this family trend carrying on. BUT since my family "growed up" I personally am less attracted to them now.
The point I was trying to make is that we are a SPORTS Car club not a nissan/Datsun branch of the Caravan n Camping club. BUT Very few owners ever seem to do anything SPORTING with the cars. EG .... how many members ever race their cars?? How many do sprints/hillclimbs?? Rallying??? Classic Rally Tours??? Track days??? Amateur drag stuff(ie RWYB days)??? I dont think all the aforementioned events attract more than 25 cars from a whole club full of SPORTS CARS. (around 500 of us IIRC)
So thats where Im at. Ill get me coat now....

Rant over........................................................................for now:D

Really good point ! A lot of people get fed up with being poorly compared against other contempory 'sportscars' but other cars and clubs are out there doing it ! Most of us (and at this point, I include myself in that but uit will change when I have my Z) at best just watch, and at worst, don't even read the magazine reports !

let us know this could be a good day out - the club is looking into putting on one main track day event for 2006 so any info gratefully recieved

hey Pmac wots wrong with a picnic basket, agree with the rug bit though, and as for the big audience bit,i do it every weekend you get acustomed to it,only difference is different birds each week

As new member who lives in Essex, what would be the best event to take my 350Z too, I hope that you guys can help me.

You need to get in touch with Mr F for your local group, South east and Kent group, I think that will cover your area. They have a meeting at least once a month, from Pub meets to Bands Hatch and the HCSS, give Mike a call 01277 374201 or drop him a pm (his is a fellow 350Z owner).

Any National event you will be made more than welcome, if there are any on the list that take your fancy drop me a line and I'll put you in touch with who ever is organising that one for the Club.

Look forward to see you at some of the events this year.
