After a long 6 weeks of working on the car on the weekends and most nights after work as of last wednesday my 240z has an MOT :)

I have now fittted a fibre glass S30 front bumper that i got from Mike at MJP, (very nice quality and fit by the way) to replace the other one that was fitted,

Car still needs alot of work like body work, paint sorting, some new interoir panels, they are all cracked etc, but i will do this as time and money allow,

Very enjoyable to drive and not to hard on the springs I fitted, I was a bit worried they would be to stiff, Brakes are good with the 4 poits up front and the rear disc conversion but still thinking about going vented on the front,

Dont think I have stopped smiling and even drove it to work this morning!

Congratulations! That's awesome to hear. I would absolutely love to see it in action in person. Will you be attending Japfest on May 11th? If not, I'd really like to get together to see it sometime~ :3

Not having a Z or even being able to drive atm, (darn you insurance costs!) really, really sucks. Probably half the reason I picked up a Logitech DFGT...

Now at least I can practice sensible driving on a car sim! xD

This is awesome, great work. whats your suspension set up? looking forward to seeing this on the 11th. Come visit the Zealou5 stand...

Thanks :) Will do,

I'm running Coil overs that i made up my self with sectioned front strut's.

Nice, you must be well chuffed, time to start putting some miles on it:)

I like the pic, it gives me something to work towards as my z should look pretty similar; white with wing mirrors and flares, not quite that low though as I never want to replace framerails again :p

Used it all last week back and forward to work, even though its was quite wet, Then took it upto Carmarthen on Saturday afternoon along some nice Welsh A roads as I went for lunch for a friends birthday, even had a nice conversation with bloke about it who was quite knowllegable about them, that was having lunch to.

Was so nice driving around in the sun on dry roads with lots of bends but on the way back I concluded it needed stiffer springs on the back, so yesterday was spent swopping them out for some 300lb's,

I know its quite low but to be honest morbias it only just catchs the middle box now and then even with 2 people on sunday and going over speed bumps, but now with some stiffer springs and I have raised the back a little, it should be ok. Thats the beauty of coilovers 5 minutes and its all adjusted,

Great to see the car being used.

Is the reg original, if so I reckon the car may have been registered in North Staffs - my old 'hunting ground'?

As far as I know Rob it is,

Im loving driving it around but do feel a bit guilty when its raining though

How does it feel now with the 300lb springs on the rear? What did you go for up front in the end?

I went with 300lb up front and 250lb on the back to start with in the end, the front has gas shocks and the back the standard ones for now, i still need to replace the rears with gas.

I will be taking it out for a drive tonight so will report back later about the new rears,

Morning

Went for a drive last night and the back srpings are much better not to stiff but about right,
