At least I will be off for a long Christmas break.
Be good,
Sparky!

No more lifting engine blocks by hand for you then!!

Hope the op goes well and you're soon back on your feet.

Cheers,
Rob

Hope it goes well Mark, get the missus to text me your ward and visiting times, I'll pop over and say hello. :)

Hope it went well Mark and you're not feeling too bad.

Make sure you rest and get fully fit for Christmas.

Had a nightmare day!
At hospital for 7.20am, checked in and gowned up by 7.40am
Had obs checked and all ok.
Waited and waited and waited. Very quiet morning, with new influx of patients in around dinner time. At 12.50 I was told that I would have to go home, as a patient had arrested in theatre and all surgeons were involved at resuss.
I was handed a timesheet for shuttle bus back to Warrington hospital by a member of staff, after being told that I could go back for 7.30am on MONDAY morning. When I get outside, the bus had just left a couple of minutes before. The next one was an hour and a quarter later, so I tried to get hold of Gill on her mobile, no joy, still in a conference.
Off I trundle to get some lunch, seeing as I had not eaten since 9pm last night. When I go for next shuttle bus back, huge queue in front of me!
6 of us were left to be told no standing room and bus was full, we would have to go and wait for good old public transport bus instead.
Bus comes in approx 15mins, takes all back roads home, gets to Widnes and wipers pack up when heavens open in an instant. Driver says engineer is out on another breakdown, so we have to wait for next bus and transfer to that one instead. I finally arrive home at 4.15, cold and wet, and still not having had my op.
Really looking forward to next Monday now!!!!!!!

Yup, that sounds about right for Halton.

And take the 110 bus next time, it's a lot quicker. :)

Anyway, good luck for monday. ;)

Another satisfied customer then!

Look at it this way if it was going to be a day of failings it's probably a good thing the Op was called off!
