Hey, your car looks a lot better than I was expecting from your description!!!

Sorry the image upload failed, looks like maybe your image size was too big, what size is it?

Great feeling when you fix a few things and sort a few jobs isn't it :D

hehe yeah, i love it when somebody compliments the work that i've done myself. the pics are over 1mb each i think, worked with the others but it's probably too big. how do you make the file smaller?

I use Photoshop but there are freeware / shareware programs available on the web that do Image manipulation, they usually have a save for web option where you can reduce the quality bringing the filesize down. Or you could try making the image smaller.

GIMP is a freeware app that is pretty functional (in a photoshop way). Perfect for peeps wanting photoshop capabilities for nowt. Also photobucket gives you image size capabilities when uploading too. No excuses now!

Okay, still working on the pics but now I'm reconsidering upgrading the spark plugs. I heard that on the turbo you can only use the platinum, but i just read that you can use the IX iridium on them also (both NGK). Anyone know which is better or if you can even use the iridium in a turbo? Also, would i want hotter, colder, or standard heat range for (hard) daily driving and very rare track use? Also thinking about a short shiftier sometime soon, pretty good deals for both on ebay. One more thing, my adjsutment screw to move the healights horizontally (left-right) is missing on one light and doens't seem to move the beam on the other. Anyone know a way to wrok around this or do i have to take the assembly out to repair it?

Taking the car in monday to get the differential and the transmission oils changed. My mechanic said he can put redline in the tranny to make it shift smoother and whatnot. I doubt they were changed recently, gonna be about $150 for both and they're also going to fix that pwr steering fluid resivour they shat on last time.

...Much better than the gangly, five o'clock shadow types you end up with when all of the best ones are gone...

By the way Nub, that paint job has some crazy heat going on. Love it!

Yeah, i get a lot of comments on that. The sad thing is that i have to get it all repainted because nobody does that kind of paint around here and it was hit in the rear before i bought it, tore some bondo and paint off and it has about 5 other major areas where it was repainted and is missing the flake, not to mention the front bumper which is peeling and had very little flake to begin with. I guess none of the pics have really shown it, i'll try to get one up that does. I'm thinkin about candy apple red when i repaint it, but that a ways off. So can i get an opinion or two on how often the gear oils should be changed and if it's worth it?

Okay, i forgot to mention they are fixing the driver side window, which would leak whenever it rained, the fastening screw that goes in the rear track or something was missing. That's gonna be $200 +$150 for the gear oils... feels like my nuts are being ripped off. Oh well, at least no more leakage into the car and onto my leg.

Would an N/A gauge/instument cluster work in a TT? my speedo and tach and odometer still work intermittently so i was looking for a replacement. Thanks.

Discovered a coolant leak and had it repair at Nissan for $313. It ended up being the coolant line for the pass. side turbo. While my mechanic was back there he noticed some crazy shit done to the VVT connector or something and sorted it out for me. Car seems to be running smoothly, hopefully it unlocked some horsepower. Likely repairing instrument panel and adding a reverse white face gauges/ blue glow to match my eventual autotechnic gauge scheme i'm planning.

Okay, they are different in the placement of the warning lights, but would they be cross compatible. Also, since the stock boost gauge is useless once you adjust the boost, could i put a NA cluster and just leave the boost connector disconnected or would that affect something else?

Okay, about time to replace tires. I kinda want to get some more Falkens, maybe even another set of ST115 with a little lower profile and more width (225/50/16 vs. old 205/55/16). Anyone have any suggestions? Trying to stay under $500 and it looks like i could get a set for about $400 off ebay. Mainly i want them to stick, right now in first, and usually all the way to third if i put it on the floor and hold it, i have no traction. This could be due to low tread, but i don't think that's all of it. Will the lower profile and wider tire help or should i look for a different type? Also considered the RT-615 street radials but they got a really bad wet raiting and it rains quite a bit here in Florida. Looking for good wet and dry grip, don't care about snow, and would prefer a Z rating with high tread wear raiting. Suggestions greatly appreciated.
