Shame there is not much take up on this Rob, Mallory Park is a nice track and the PPC event gets a nice collection of varied cars. I think Matt will be going with John but if he fancies a nice smooth ride he can always come up with me.

Folks, if anyone is 'hovering' be quick to decide. I'll be getting back to the organisers very soon (days) about track slots.

Can't wait to try the car out on the track tomorrow. Been a busy couple of weeks trying to sort out some problems.

Had the front discs slimmed on the car and they are now perfect. Rolled the front arches this afternoon so hopefully no rubbing. Still not sorted the vibration problems out and running a spare open diff with old rubber mount has helped mask the problem. Had the transmission guy ring me tonight, all excited, saying he has rebuilt the diff and the wipe patterns and backlash are absolutely perfect. So it looks like I'll be changing the diff again. Just in time for spa. Tomorrow will be a good shakedown day.

Well we had a great day. Yes it was damp at first but we still enjoyed that session. Later it dried and we had some good runs.

I bought an extra session but had a little excursion during that into the rough entering Gerrads and guess what - Matt, John, Mike B and Darren were spectating there (I didn't know until they came back to the paddock laughing). Anyway I still had a good run until I suffered a puncture and nearly did it again!

Kevin Bristow turned up and thoroughly enjoyed himself with his exuberant driving style, however an official did have a quiet word in his ear.

The four 240s (quite different cars) got plenty of attention especially John's car - he kept is bonnet open to show his motor off.

Had a great day finding the limits of the car. Kevin was great to watch and hard to keep up with and he was using road tyres! Got to grips with the car on the last session and managed to overtake a large proportion of the field. I'll post a link to the YouTube video when I get it uploaded.

Great Video John. Shame about the lack of sound. Then again at least you can't hear my Cheeks squeeking in the passenger seat! :D

Cool video, loving the Capri in the first few minutes, then that cossy near the end looked bloody quick! Wish I'd made this now, looks like it was great fun!

The capri was a pure track car running a volvo engine and light wieght panels. The passed me last year and I wasnt going to let that happen this time:). There were a couple of high spec high budget escorts running nicely detailed LS V8's. It was a great day and nice being able to hold my own with the new suspension, brakes and tyres working perfectly. It's all a learning process but I think I'm getting there. Can't wait untill Spa on Friday. Just a diff change and some suspension tweeks and I'm ready.
