Looks like good value.

Yep it looks ok on the pics he has provided. It could probably be put back on the road as a LHD, Auto needing a respray fairly cheaply. So if it sold for say £3k that's tempting.

If you want a very smart, RHD manual it gets a bit more involved and expensive. Perhaps that's why it's sat there.

I reckon its worth about 4.5-5k as is if its fairly solid.

From looking at the ebay link, I'd say that's a realistic value on the machine.

Here's a picture from a classic car buying guide I saw at the agents this weekend.

Personally, I'm more with Rob on this one. Even with minimal rust, its going to need plenty of work and it is auto too. William Galliers has had Cali cars available in the last year or two that were cosmetically quite a bit better for circa 5-6k.

I guess we will see when he lists it here as he states he intends. Looks to be a nice project starting point if the price is sensible.

The usual Goertz bullshit in that first quote. Jesus - how often must we endure lazy regurgitation by the journos.

As for the prices, project £3k - i.e. as Rob suggested. As for excellent, clearly I need to up my agreed value even higher than I just agreed with the insurers! :D

left side is the future.

Is it on a 'old uk plate' or has it been registered as an import?

The ad says its been registered here, a plate issued, and all duty paid etc.

Personally, I don't think I'd bother changing it to RHD. I'd be quite happy to drive a LHD car here. Isn't LHD a better option for on the track?

Can't see why unless it's to wave at other drivers as you pass them. Lots of cars racing over here are LHD so it's not big problem but our tracks are run clockwise so I'd rather be on the inside of the corner. It just seems right to me and helps with weight balance I reckon.

Wel isn't that the reason racers prefer LHD, so they can see and hit the apex better? Small margins I guess, but I'm sure I've heard racers give that as a reason.
