Leighton Hall Cancelled

The annual Lakeland Classic Car Rally at Leighton Hall just outside Carnforth is on Sunday 2nd September this year.

It's a great venue, just of the M6 at JCT 35 and really well attended normally.

Last year we managed 3 cars, but it was a good day with great weather, so lets see if we can get a few more this year, I am quite friendly with the show organiser and so late entries won't be a problem, but anyone who wants to join me will be very welcome, and even the odd Osselli Capri perhaps ;).

May be able to make it as well, travel times listed on Leighton halls web site seem optomistic though!! 2 hours from Glasgow 160miles equals 80mph average,:rofl: better get that wild cam installed pronto!!:lol:

Might be able to make it. On holiday next week, driving in the Z down to Norfolk with my wife. Should be back Saturday, but not certain yet. What's the very latest I can let you know?
 
Looks like you will have plenty of time Rob, I just got this email this morning from the event organiser:

Hi Jonathan

Sorry but due to a wet field we have had to cancel and postpone Leighton Hall until sunday 2nd September.

You can still use the same passes on 2nd september or i can send you a refund.

Not surprising given the weather we've been having.
I'll be there on the 2nd September,i'll even bring my genuine 432 for the day again

Just back from holiday yesterday so it'll go out tomorrow. If you PM me your email address, I'll get the courier to email a two hour time slot (on Wednesday) of when they plan to be there.
 
Bear in mind I have two banners - a Nissan one and Datsun one. Assuming I come (weather is the defining factor - sick of sitting in wet fields being pissed on!), I'll bring them.

Cancelled

Another victim of the cr@p British summer, the organiser has just called me to say he has had to cancel the show tomorrow.

Typically tomorrows forecast is really good, so if we still all fancy a meet up I think we should. Any last minute ideas...!!!

He did say hang on to the pass for next year, though :)
