Bars are for girlies with fluching loos and mirrored wash-hand-basins and for those who want to pay too much for their drinks.

Real enthusiasts drink to the sound of roaring sixes, V8s and 12s...besides...you'll only have to crawl through the grass to your F*rd hovel.:p

To quote:

"we all pulled out all the stops so our garb is in unison with the cars?

And what if, for our great pleasure we are all dressed elegantly, sporty and smart with outfits of the time?

he range of clothing possibilities is vast because the period spans the 1920s to the 1980s…"

I've got some flares and flowery shirts - definitely thinking I can dress in unison with my car!

I also have a wonderful selection of cowboy hats, so should fit in well with "American" and "era of my car"..

On a serious note, can you PM/email me your contact number please Sean so I can get a hold of you on Thursday? Just to check where you'll be and at what time!

Oh, and still touch and go if the Datsun will make it - just been in the mechanics this morning having the brakes reversed (yes, it's bias is currently the wrong way around so am braking using the drums and not the calipers!) and it's in the bodyshop tomorrow so we can try and get the arches sorted so they stop ripping the tyres to shreds with two people in the car (four new tyres now fitted, but presently the suspension is such only my wife can drive it without the arches rubbing the tyres, so with me + camping gear we're screwed!). SHOULD be done in time - in which case we'll make it and you can giggle at me trying to wire in the hearter controls while parked at Le Mans (although how hard can connecting those 4 cables actually be??).

Company in Fleet did it.

And I agree, even if we hadn't recently moved 250+ miles away, I'd still not bother making the trip again.

Mind you, it got an advisory that brakes weren't right, but it passed on efficiency on the rollers which surprised me immensely!!

Anyhow, picked it up this evening and it now stops much more like it should!

Time to get to bed as up early in the morning in a desperate attempt to get the arches sorted so we can actually put things like ourselves, and a tent, and more importantly, wine from the hypermarket in it!!!

Er.........wtf will you need a heater over here ?

Fans! Not so bothered by the hot, but would be nice to be abe to blow cold if the south of France is up to temperature!

Although I suspect the window will not move from being down - even when it rains so we can manually operate the wipers!!!

We'll get there though I'm sure - brakes were fixed today, and in to bodyshop tomorrow morning to sort the arches. I'veplugged some speakers in so we can sing along, and have done a quick service (oil etc) so it's running sweet.

Got the plugs to do, but again, might be something I do on the campsite!

New game - who can change your plugs quickest ? Was an AGM game once upon a long time ago..........!

But we've done worse at LM and in the pits too - 2006.......... !

If you're heading down south, I'd better give you a couple of tel numbers of Z mates down there to call if the s*it hits your fan :D !

Flowery shirts doesn't get you a drink Friday night !

Thursday - I'll be up there - camping passes first then up to the stand and put up the gazebo then camping site and put up the tent and other gazebo and wait for you guys to give you your tickets, passes etc.

Btw, if you'd all like to bring over an enormously, abusive amount of supermarket brand scotch porridge oats (in big bags) , that would be fantastic for which I'll obviously settlle up in cash. Cheers.

Cheers Sean!

Oh, small favour to ask of some people in the UK attending..

Any chance there's some space in a car (without intruding on your driving entertainment etc) that you could take some of our camping gear back to the UK (assuming you live near M25/M1/Yorkshire)?

We're having space issues packing!!!
