https://www.jdclassics.com/Cars/For...-Big-Sam/3e7a6773-fcc3-47de-f58c-08d526a380ce (does say sold - some people say that it went for considerably less than the figures being bandied around a year or two ago !).

Apparently Jenson Button was buying some cars or into the the company and was expected to race at Le Mans Classics this year :

But he never appeared nor did the expected contingent of JD cars !

So what is the story now on Big Sam as the sun appears to be going down on JD Classics........?

Well if it gets auctioned-off as bankrupt stock I'll speak to my bank manager - that conversation won't last long!

It's probably academic (as 'Big Sam' may not be in the care of J.D. Classics anymore) but I somehow doubt there will be any fire sales whilst private equity firms like Charme Capital Partners are involved...

I was recently told that it was sold and for way less than the figure mentioned a little while ago. This was second or even third hand information but still believable.

Hopefully it went to a knowledgeable enthusiast who will use/show/race it rather than an investor/speculator type.......... but probably wishful thinking !
