Just to put some of the 'younger' members in the picture. The Z club I believe, was the original founder of JAE many years ago when it was a smaller event held at Blling. Eventually Billing was too small and 'The Organisation' led by Fuggles took over relocating to Peterborough. For some reason the event never took off there as far as z Club were concerned and we ceased attending due to lack of interest. I think Meresea Island was the last time we attended as a club. Since then we have always received an invitation from 300zx.co.uk for members to exhibit on their stand, one or two have taken advantage of this but none the less enthusiasm to attend the event has only ever been minimal. Until this year.

As far as 2014 is concerned as you can see above the invitation has been renewed and we see no reason at this point in time to change this situation. However should circumstances change in subsequest years the event will be open to review.

Our own celebration of the 300zx will take place at Zed Fest on 8,9,10 August 2014. We hope you will all be available to attent that event. ALL other Z Clubs will be supporting this event which we hope will be the biggest and best yet. Please bear with me and I will keep everyone up to speed as and when more news comes in.

Please note that I WILL be needing help this year so if you have any suggestions for the smooth running, entertainment or events within this event please let me know, initially by PM and the sooner the better so a full itinerary can be compiled. We want everyone to remember this one.

ok, well a satellite stand it is then. I assume a few of us can still attend together without zclub or Richards seal of approval or threat of withdrawing support for other events.

I understand that 350's just bought 10 tickets, got a stand and just went this year. We may not have enough to fill a dragon boat but some would be willing at least? I missed the eating competition and it looked a right laugh :)
 
So, as I read it so far. Zclub has no plans to run an 'official' zclub stand.

Is there an issue with zclub paid members booking a stand, in zclubs name and inviting people to it, as is done with most clubs, for most shows/events and as has been mentioned, the 350z-uk club did last year? Or do those of us who do not wish to accept the .co.uk invitation, need to go with other clubs, or not go at all?

There are 9 people interested in this thread so far, if most/all of those 9 would rather be on a zclub stand, than a .co.uk stand and are willing to sort it out, is zclub saying no?

I would say a stand in the ZClub's name would be an official club presence, so no, the club won't sanction that. Sorry.

It's clear from a few posts on this thread that there are some issues between members of other clubs. Don't let it spill out on this site please. Keep it nice ;)
 
Sorry Dale, insisting people go with a club they don't want to and putting a blanket ban, on paid members running a stand in the clubs name, is what's spilling it out, not me and not anyone else.

Since when does an owners club, refuse to sanction a group of paid members setting up a stand in the clubs name at a show, just because none of the admins/committee want to go?

Saying you see no point in organising one is one thing, refusing to let paid up members set one up is quite another.

Hollowpoint, you said you would not be bringing baggage with you when you joined this site. The committee has decided to accept the invitation of 300zx.co.uk. I am aware this does not suit you and Rose but that is the position. Richard Smith has stated ALL our members would be welcome. He has made no exceptions, that is good enough for us. Please do not continue your vendetta on this site.

There is no insisting. We have an invite to join the .co.uk's stand. Like any invite, be it a birthday, wedding etc, you don't have to accept.

CANT accept. It's a game to them, hunt us down even if we are not on their stand, give out a promotion to the one who causes the most damage, send staff out to shadow us, then leave a load of lies and slander on their forum for their members of which we cannot respond to, then ban me for things that actually had no bearing on the use of their forum. REALLY, you seriously think we are invited? Your having a laugh if you do.
It's not ME that's insisted on bringing it to this response, it's you would are diluting it with other events and seem to have no respect that these members dont want to go with them.

Another thing. I am sick to death of being age discriminated on this forum. I am 38, hardly an ankle biter, youngster, or whipper snapper. I joined Z Club of Great Britain. Not 300zx.co. I'll leave you old farts to it then. Good luck with dead club.
 
Which has nothing to do with this club.

I think everything that needs to be said on this topic has been, so thread locked.
