Yep that identity will be on a 'new' Mexico. It really is crazy that this goes on and is not monitored by the DVLA on sites like ebay.

The guy is selling a Mk 2 Escort rally car and that looks ok. He is accurate in his descriptions.

You can get a brand new Mini shell to re-shell it. I know you can get new Mk2 Escort shells these days, perhaps Mk1's are available too?

I believe most of the front end has been replaced but the shell itself was retained and has/is being repaired. A friend of mine is a freelance cameraman and recently went to film the buyer and see how they were getting on.
If they have a successful outcome then I can only raise my hat in wonder to their skills!
Remember the Sierra Cossie 3 door that the Asian guys from Bradford bought? Absolute money-pit disaster apparantly.
 
That just proves it's all about the money & not the love & passion for the cars themselves, that is something I personally don't understand
