Injector details please for 280Z

I am new to Z cars and am checking over the engine ( L28 - 1976 280Z ). The injectors have been replaced at some time and are NOT a matched set so I want to fit the correct injectors. Please can anyone tell me the correct part numbers / ID for the injectors which I believe have a flow rate of 200cc's. Just for good measure, where do I buy them from ?.

From experience I would strongly suggest avoiding going down the ‘remanufacture’ route, unless you are on a budget. It’s also advisable to change them as a complete set. You will also need new seals as rarely come out whole, and an air leak on an injector can really mess up performance. Also, while your at it it’s worth changing the injector plugs as they get brittle with age.

Great advice thanks. I think a new set will be best but it is sourcing them in the UK that seems difficult. I know the flow rate but I am struggling to find the correct part number.

hello i too have a 280z and had the same problem you can have a few option if you go for a billet fuel rail . just got one from these guys . protuners .com . £300 for the complete rail but lower cost injectors can be fitted . the original rail prone to problems and the billet rail looks way better

Thanks

Thank you for the suggestion. I didn't realise the different fitting situation with different fuel rails. I will do some homework. The 280Z rail seems way too complicated but I hesitate at criticizing Japanese design, they really do seem to think things through.

I think you might struggle to source some in the UK. I did try several injector specialists Local to me in Bristol. They could get alternatives but were shipping from abroad and the cost was prohibitive.

Injectors by Standard Motor Products are fine for stock. They fit the 280Z and ZX as it’s the same basic injection system. The injectors for the ZX turbo are different. Standard are available from Rockauto below:

https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/nissan,1976,280z,2.8l+l6,1209226,fuel+&+air,fuel+injector,6224

The alternative is to get your set cleaned and overhauled by an injector specialist in your neck of the woods.

My injectors are at a specialist right now but they are not all the same and he is trying to establish what they should be. The Rockauto link may hold the answer thank you.
