Huggy 240Z...I'm confused !

These guys who import from the US though, I wonder if they have someone that side of the pond, a Saccyclone-type guy, who knows these cars. Lot of people I know in the Mustang world have business partners/friends etc over there who source cars that then get send over. That way you can reasonably expect a decent pre-Atlantic trip report on the condition (that isn't going to be sexed-up!)

If you don't you can always buy something that turns up and isn't what you thought, but even Huggy's should recognise something like this surely, a bit of a bitsa. Unless they paid $500 for it ...

Priced as it was, they knew it was a ringer which doesn't install confidence in them as sellers to knowingly pass on something like this !

Yep. They are parting it out on eBay. I wonder if our discussions here had an effect drawing attention to the problem?

When you look at the pictures of the bare shell you can see that the front of the car is 240Z, which was originally metallic green - based on the inside of the bulkhead, but the whole rear end is a light metallic blue 280Z. It's two halves joined somewhere in the middle.

The rear strut towers are 280 and I'm guessing whole rear from just in front of the tool box vertical panel. Tunnel looks 240.

The 'listing' has ended.

My first reaction to the latest listing was that many of those front panels/sections are in good condition and could be useful to a 're-builder' or a rally/race-driver needing spare sections in case of accident damage.

I hope you're right Rob.

I hope we don't get a new thread though - "Hey guys, always wanted a Z and just picked up a bargain on ebay" etc
