Damp qualifying placed 240Zs side by side on the front row - Charles Barter with freshly refurbed car on pole and Matt Bannister just a few tenths behind alongside.
Nice dry race saw Matt out-drag Charles into the first turn and, hanging on around the outside, to eventually take the lead. Charles tried a bit too hard and made a mistake, leaving Matt to fend off the increasingly rapid trio of Lotus drivers to take his second win this season.
1. Matthew Bannister 240Z / 1st in Class B
2. Rory Stockbridge Lotus Europa
3. Chris Holland Lotus 7 S4
4. Howard Bentham Lotus Europa
Julian Barter TVR 3000M 7th overall, 2nd in Class B (from last on the grid following a major mechanical problem which kept him out of qualifying)
Tony Ellis Mazda RX7 8th overall, 3rd in Class B
Charles Barter 240Z 10th overall, 4th in Class B and fastest lap
Paul Stafford 13th overall, 5th in Class B
