On Holiday in Competa, Spain where we again visited Spike and Clara Anderson. Had a fabulous time and I'm pictured here with Spike and his fabulous replica of his 1930's one-off MG which he owned in his youth. Powered by a 240Z engine (now a 2.6 short stroke) those of you who think their Super Samuris etc are quick are in for a shock!!! Its a bloody rocket on wheels!!!

Pictures taken using a Sony digital with smoke and mirror filters. Reproduced with kind permission of Pinch of Salt Productions. (tongue firmly in cheek)
PS. Spike says hi to those who know him.

As for the car, it's more than fabulous, it's outrageous, blisteringly quick and bloody gorgeous. the man's mad/a genius! As ever it was great to see him and Clara and they are both in rude health.

Ocht, that's a story for another day.

Here's a couple from 2013. Spike and I and one of me in 'Tiddler'. Spike's (also a replica) 30's triumph. built on a Herald chassis with a 1.5L engine. Also weighs nothing and goes like a bat out of hell!!!!
Spike is no more wrinkly now than then :devil:

I'd also like to say how much I like your heat-shield ! So many people wrap or zir-coat their headers when something much simpler is just as effective.

One of the biggest benefits for ceramic coating is to keep the heat "in" the header, thereby keeping gas speed high......this results in lower external temps
Heat shields do nothing for gas speed.

They merely deflect any petrol away from any potentially hot places.:p

Should say that I also have had the manifold/header wrapped back to the underside of the car but as Sean says, the shield does divert any stray petrol!!!!
It also looks nice.
