As some of you know I changed my bumpers for the shiny stainless steel ones about 1.5 years ago.
At the time I was debating whether to go rubber free or practice safe bumpers and decided to keep the car looking as intended for U.K. market.
Well, the fit on the bumpers wasn't great and I improvised / bent the brackets to make them fit. But what I didn't expect was the rubbers to start cracking inside 2 years!!! Especially as the car lives in the garage and only did around 800 miles last year 99% dry miles!
The forty year old ones were in a better state. I will be writing to them but I'm not holding my breath for any goodwill.
But thought to post up so as to warn other members thinking of buying these expensive bits of steel.
