Got my Z!

Cheers

Thanks for the encouraging comments everyone. Look forward to comparing notes as the journey begins.

Those red Seats and door cards are an addition though from original, yes? Not seen door cards with the top bit being black ...

Car's still lovely though. Does that front spoiler keep it all a bit more stable at high speed ...

Yes, the previous owner put the door cards in about 5 years ago. I'm not sure where they sourced those.

re: front spoiler, It was rock solid at 90mph, haven't tested any higher, so not sure of it's impact to be honest.

Nice looking! The Hayashi Streets/Rota BM8s (I'm guessing the latter?) suit the car well - gives it a "mid-Pacific" look - half-way between USDM and JDM! :D

Any particular plans in mind for it? Is it relatively standard or has it received any notable upgrades previously? (I say "upgrades" as the general view is that standard US cars are lacking in spec in a variety of areas compared to UK, Euro, JDM etc. cars. This makes them a good starting point for targeted changes to more fully realise their potential).

The previous owner had done a fair bit to it which is what attracted me to it (apart from the body).
Its got a L28; F54 Block P90A Head converted to solid lifters. Bored over 1mm with new flat top pistons; Ztherapy Su carbs; N36 intake manifold, 12.3LB light flywheel (yeah not quite fun driving that over London speedbumps); rear diff out of Suburu WRX 3.54; 5 speed out of 1980 280zx; new pumps all round, etc. It's setup for reliability and a bit of extra grunt. Brakes are a bit too spongey at the moment, that's my first job.
