If you want more than a stockish road car then scrap the Nissan FI its old tech
new manifold, triple ITBs, Emerald ECU, head work, cam, compression increase, header
Bobs your uncle, then you'll need a decent clutch, brakes, wheels tyres, diff, suspension......it goes on and on
You could write a book on it, and several people have

How fast depends on how much

My engine alone has cost around £15K+ not including the 200 hours it took to build (blueprint) plus around £600 of dyno time

How was the feel/curve against carbs Steve? Or was it an evolution to a max point with carbs then the same again with FI?

I've a set of m3 ITB's sat on a bench!

Viper, do you want a high performance 2.8 280Z or do you want a rust-free S30 that looks like a 240Z and is on carbs?

People are reading all kinds of things into your requirements.

It was an evolution over several years, the original concept was a performance 2.8 built in conjunction with input from Mr F (thanks Mike)
There were many sceptics around at the time and loads of misconceptions about ITB's
So it was more of an exercise to shut a few people up.....
It grew and grew as an attempt to break a long standing drag record (13.77) that soon fell and the cost grew, it's now pretty much a full race, road legal car

The feel of the ITB/ECU combination is super smooth and very progressive
Almost infinitely tunable with a laptop

Love carbs noise so throttle bodies the same.

Want it lively but not mental....200 would be cool but it will evolve i time. Exhaust on it's way.

240/60 look for sure....we're getting there.

Too many projects on the go right now so will get it sitting right when the suspension eventually turns up.

What exhaust did you go for?

Mr F put me in touch with Steve skiddell many moons ago and it was his fault that i spent loadsa dosh to get my Zed driving like it is,thanks Steve,my engine was built by DJ and capable of 320 BHp if i remember correctly, ihave more or less the same set up as Steve and is only mildly tuned pushing 257 BHP,the sound is a bit like triples but with nice crisp sound but still has that deep cougar like sond, instant power on tap without changing gear,i see you live in kent so you are not to far from me,you are welcome to pop round and ill show you how a Zed should go,when you get out you will feel like a dog with 2 cocks, i also have a set of new injectors going cheap if you decide to go down that route

Don't suppose anybody has a decent rear section (silencer and over-axle piece) for an 89 z31?
The bit that rots out lol
