Trying to sort out car stuff before Silverstone....................

On went the coilovers - and what did we learn? When you drop the car back down off the jacks make sure there is enough room left to get the jack out :)

Learnt how to use a brake pipe kit - just need to work out how to measure the pipe lengths better before cutting! Measure twice was not enough!

When you put the brakes back together - if it still pulls to the right after you have bleed the front brakes for the umpteenth time, its a good idea to go back and bleed the rears again. What did I learn - air in the back nearside brake can mean the car still pulls to the right. Taken the wheels off that many times now I'm thinking of going for a job on an F1 team!

The ride is much improved, we now go over bumps, not things in the road that make the car go go bang. Now we need to sort out ride height and comfort level.

Haha yep been there done that with a jack on a previous car 😂

My 280 was pulling to the right on my one and only test drive last year. I wonder if that was the cause then. I have brand new calipers etc to go on this year so we shall see.

Great to hear the coilovers are such an improvement! What was on before, the stock springs and shocks? And which brand have you gone with?

Yellowspeed had a deal on when I got them. Only been waiting to put them on for a year! Driving is now a pleasant experience. I could have done by just renewing the old set up I suppose but the ability to raise lower seemed appealing. Car feels a lot more solid, not so wishy/washy.

Brilliant. I'm 99% sure the Yellowspeed are basically the same as BCs - made in the same factory etc.

My 280z's handling would be best described with nautical terms, so anything will be a big improvement.
