Engine capacity question

Like the Vortech ones? should be pretty easy to make a bracket to go where the power aircon pump would go. Would need a hefty belt though. I wonder how well they work?

Hopefully it would work well, Don't want to run massive boost so should be pretty safe, I've given up on the Small block transplant as being to expensive and time consuming for the time being, Plus I'd like to keep some originality in under bonnet looks.

Think it should work well with throttle bodies .

Simon,
We use Rotrex supercharger from TTS on our Porsche 968 conversion.
Low boost kit runs 350 hp, higher boost kit is running 400-430hp with all stock internals!
A very compact unit, would be good to see one on a Z too.

Rotrex..that was the name I was looking for. It looks like a holset compressor side with the exhaust housing removed with some gearing and a pulley wheel.
Supercharged and turbocharged would be nice to see.

When you say high boost, what PSI are we talking? do you have a webiste where I can look at the conversions?

Cheers

After owning a golfg60 for years I've always liked superchargers and their ability to give lots of torque from very low rpms....I always thought of turbo's as "Laggy" :) having seen the dyno numbers for my car 192lb/ft at 1500rpm running 1.4psi and reaching full boost by 3500rpm I now have a different opinion.

My Z is going to be a 3.1-3.2 litre supercharged L28. When I get that far.

You let me know 'cos I've always fancied that - no turbos for me. Mind, what are you gonna do with all that power - my 3.1 with 270brake has ample ?

Seen a couple of supercharged Z's on youtube, and must say they do look quick......and the sound well thats just
