Do you recognize this alternator?

I'm looking to upgrade my alternator but not sure whats installed at the moment so I know what I would need to get. Does anyone recognize this Nissan alternator by any chance?

I've got an L28 installed in a 240z.

No, I don't recognise that. I assume it's an internally regulated one?

It doesn't look like the S30 L28 alternators I've seen so perhaps off a later Nissan car.

Could be a 280zx alternator, although i think they might be Hitachi originally, same mountings but internally regulated. Have you got the wiring adapter in place of the external regulator do you know?

From what I can tell it's connected directly. I thought it might be the original 280zx alternator but a quick google pulled up pictures of the Hitachi one like you said.

It looks like one I've used before and have on my silver car. From a Primera. It's a common swap for zeds.

There are quite a few nissan alternators that fit. I think the primera one is from '96 to '01.
