Aah, but they cost less to run (maintain/repair/tune) over there. And if we got the good ones, why are we so keen to import theirs ?
 
Cos they have better climate and do not use salt on the roads in Arizona or California..........
 
Don't preach to me - I'm a converted one ! In fact there seem to be almost as many older Zs being imported as 350s !
Personally, I think the only difference why I chose a 240 over a 260 2 seater is I prefer the older interior - dash, ventilation controls and the diamond vinil pattern !
 
I am glad we cleared that one up Sean, it seems you choose the 240 interior in the same way I choose the (late) 260 one, mind you the late 260Z doors close with a more satisfying clunk as well, it seems you have become more Z savvy over the years and not the 240Z snob u used to be................smile, (not having a go just teasing U) meanwhile U still haven't sold my 300zxtt for me in France why is this????
 
Sean - I cannot abide the diamond pattern - when my dash and any other bits are being removed I will give you a shout to see if you want the diamond plastic (assuming when I get it off it is in good nick and one piece)

240 snob ? I thought they were all in the Z Register ? I was Chairman of The Z Club - one club-all the cars !!!
I also don't have to turbo up every car I get to be more powerful than the neighbour - I think someone here is a power snob !

Zhead, what don't you like about the vinyl ? It's so '60s, also just like that on early De Tomasos and other big GTs ! It's functional, not elegant, just what a 'racer' needs !
Of course if you prefer wall to wall tweed carpeting, it's your choice and I'd love the vinyl you don't ! :)

Z32TT 5sp manual, 2+2 lhd, French spec, (yellow headlamp reflectors) BMW Dakar Yellow (9 out of ten paint job and thats being fussy) black leather in perfect condition, Standard except for removed rear spoiler and GDS S/S full exhaust system and Strosek front end, standard refurbished wheels with new Bridgestone SO3's in correct sizes, 81,000miles, recent performance clutch. It ran 14.1 with standard exhaust, I have been asked to send it to Nigeria in late January if I can't sell it in the next few weeks. How about 5% of £6500

Do the headlights still conform to French roads or were they changed for UK beams ?

If I get all your info, I may put it up on French ebay, what do you think ?
