Bonsoir
Can you give dimensions of primary's, secondary's and collector tubes
(lengths and dia), and how these differ from the commonly available and where and why you think yours improved.
Not trying to critique, just curious
Matt

Bonsoir ami.

I'll answer you specifically Matt if you can be more specific in your questions :

which commonoly available please - let's compare like for like or are you referring to the mass-produced USA-market produced units in mild steel ?

Fair point, yep compare with the USA stuff, I saw on you FB page what I assume was a rusty looking pattern, was that a MK1 version or an old no longer produced set that you copied?

Not at all copied from the States.

Mine have evloved from JDM manifolds and obviously further adapted to be suitable for the bigger LHD market worldwide.......obviously they also fit RHD cars.

The only USA manifolds worth contemplating (imho) are those from Stahl who're now out of business - I venture to suggest that the majority of 'local' clients wouldn't invest the $900 and preferred something a lot cheaper of which there is a good choice over there.

But those cheap ones become expensive here with volumised shipping and customs on top - I believe that mine therefore compare favourably price-wise and quality-wise, mine are far, far superior.

That which you saw was the prototype for my currect street-sport 15/8 primary piped manifold which has been further adapted AND I'm expecting it to fit on S130s as well, at least post '81 models and maybe all - we'll see ; I finally have a car here upon which to test-fit.

Yep, not criticising.
So, and this may have been covered already, what gains and where, would I expect to see bolting one of these and your system on to my suitably jetted 240.

Not taken as criticism - all of us only ever learn by questioning......and sometimes via ourselves !

Exhaust manifolds and performance exhausts don't make/gain power - engines do that and the aforementioned parts simply release/exploit those gains.

So being a pain :) and answering a question with a question - what power does your engine produce now and where (ie rev range, power and torque curves) and I'll be better able to help you with a more accurate reply ?

Sorry but 'suitably jetted 240Z' is way too vague for me to even have a chance of correctly replying.

The planned added lambda sensor plug begins to take form.

Hi Sean,
I think it's time to upgrade my MSA header - will your next batch have a 1 3/4 primaries option for RHD, or am I limited to 1 5/8?

1 5/8 are fine for everything but all out big breathing strokers, I've comfortably made 250 plus on the Nismo 1 5/8

When we did a back to back dyno tests putting a 1 3/4 on an inappropriate engine cost me 20 hp due to drop in gas speed

Gas speed is everything, helps the scavenging

Just a little advice from someone whos spent a couple of grand testing stuff like this

Thanks Steve -
I may be deluded, but I'm hoping for 280 with my new head build... still 1 5/8?

Sorry to hijack Sean
Jon what head is it, what porting and valve job, what cam and what induction setup

No worries Steve and thanks for you continued input.

Think of torque too !

Both sizes will be produced in the next batch but more of the 1 5/8th because of their better versatility.

There will also be the other 1 5/8ths manifold.

All available from March 2016. Just finished making up the prototypes - photos later from the home PC.

Sure and if you want to pay for it before the end of January, it'll be at the May 2015 price.

Just to clarify, all my manifolds are RHD compatible - the problem has been making them work with LHD steering columns w/out compromising on the performance edge.

Next headache - LHD S130s with steering boxes.... but challenges are rewarding and we all learn.

Ah ok, I had the wrong end of the stick. I understood there were clearance probs on RHD. I'll pm you regds payment

NO clearance problems on RHD and none either now on LHDand they'll all fit with twin SUs, triples (all inlet manifolds) and injection.

Photos so far.

Note the difference between a 2 seater S30 and a 2+2 !
